Cent Launches New Branson Cognac
50 Cent‘s career has seen multiple evolutions throughout his journey in achieving hip-hop mogul status. On the heels of his recent deal with new champagne company Le Chemin Du Roi, the Queens native announces a new liquor partnership with French Cognac Branson .
The 42-year-old revealed his newest endeavor on Instagram Wednesday night . “What you thought l was doing in France fool. l went to get the work,l got da plug get wit me. BRANSON Brown the finest cognac around. #getthestrap,” he captioned.
Fifty later went on Instagram live to celebrate in a cocky manner as only the “In Da Club” rapper would. The video catches 50 chilling out with some bottles of Branson on the table while counting up thousands of dollars.
The video finds the G-Unit CEO pouring himself a glass of the new Cognac in the midst of his chat with a friend as they chop it up about betting on an upcoming boxing fight and even touch on 50’s saavy business acumen.
The Get Rich or Die Tryin’ MC is still keeping busy on the music front. He reunited with “Patiently Waiting” collaborator Eminem on stage during Shady’s headlining set at weekend one of Coachella. Fif’s also celebrating the 15th anniversary of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a U.K. tour slated for the summer.

50 Cent was in France earlier this year touring cognac facilities. The trademark for Branson Cognac is owned by Sire Spirits, LLC, a business that worked with the rapper to promote Effen Vodka.

Cents Cognac In Legal Battle With Rmy Martin
50 Cents company Sire Spirits is in a legal battle with Rémy Martin and recently scored a minor victory in the case.
According to court documents obtained by XXL, a judge ordered last Thursday for 50s Sire Spirits, which includes his Branson Cognac brand, to move forward with the legal case against Rémy Martin, who initially sued Sire Spirits for infringement.
The case stems from E. Rémy Martin & Co.s copyright-infringement lawsuit, filed in August of 2021, which alleges that 50 Cents Branson Cognac is a blatant copy of Rémy Martins jewel-shaped glass cognac bottle design for their popular XO cognac.
Sire Spirits countersued Rémy Martin, denying allegations of infringement and asking the court to throw out their lawsuit. Rémy Martin then filed a motion to dismiss and strike Sire Spirits counterclaims and affirmative defenses, but a judge denied their motion without receiving a reply.
According to the documents, a judge agreed with Sire Spirits counterclaims and defenses to be sufficiently pled and common-place in patent infringement lawsuits. So the judge ordered an expedited proceeding to determine the scope of Rémy Martins patent.
In a statement to XXL, 50 Cents attorney, Stephen Savva, contends that no infringement was committed on Sire Spirits part.
This isnt 50s only legal case recently. The Power franchise co-creator is still battling Teairra Mari for his money that the R& B singer-turned-reality star owes him.
